This place is tiny and doesn’t have many people working, but the food is amazing. It tastes like home cooking from a really good cook. It warms your belly and makes you happy.
The menu is surprisingly large for how small everything else is. Definitely a place to check out.

Absolutely phenomenal service and the food was to die for. Best sausage gravy and biscuits I’ve ever had. Also the owner is amazing! He greets everyone as they walk in and raises money to feed vets. Amazing food and service. 6 out of 5 stars!

I grew up in a town with a population of only 22,000 people, so moving to Fairfax has been a difficult adjustment. 29 Diner is the one place that makes me feel like I’m back home. Kind people, community vibe, and food like your Mama makes (seriously, you have a front row seat to watching them flip giant pancakes). What’s more, they are doing phenomenal things to feed and save Veterans and first responders. This is a place with delicious food and big hearts, and I recommend it to everyone who needs a taste of home.

Small cozy little diner. Despite growing up in Fairfax I just visited here for the first time!

Came with my dad and I’m glad we did. The service was incredibly good. We never found ourselves lacking coffee or water and I saw waiters chatting with regulars and non-regulars alike with great interest.

The food was pretty good, standard diner fare. Nothing that really blew me away but, it was good nonetheless. Pretty significant portions so expect to leave full.

Definitely one of the better places for breakfast food in Fairfax and it certainly doesn’t hurt that they support a veterans’ program to prevent suicide.

29 diner is the best place in the world. The staff and the food is amazing. The owner is more compassionate about feeding veterans than anyone I have ever known. It is a place of love and comfort. The best place ever.

Great little spot. Authentic 50’s diner that preserves the ambiance and aura. Michelle is a wonderful host and makes your time there very personalized and warm. This is one place where it would actually mean something to become a regular, unlike all the other corporate places around.

Exceptional as always! Just began going recently and was so impressed. Now I crave their amazing chicken noodle soup all the time. One of the best I’ve ever had! Everyone there makes you feel right at home. I’m already looking forward to next time! Thanks Diner 29!
