5 Reviews on “Carter's”
I came in one evening recently to return some clothes my daughter recieved for her birthday that did not fit. The girl helping me was not at all customer friendly. There was a problem with some of the items and she very rudely said they were not from a Carter’s store so I could not return them. When I asked her where they were from, as they had a Carter’s tag, she informed me that “other stores carry [their] products too” again very rudely. Her body language was off putting, she frowned the whole time, and generally seemed annoyed by the whole thing. She couldn’t, or wouldn’t, answer any questions about where they may have been from saying there was no way to tell. I returned what I could and got the hell out of there. A couple days later my wife and I took the same clothes to the Carter’s store in Columbia and the young lady there was able to tell us where some of the items were from.
My wife and I shop at Carter’s a lot and we know the young lady from the Laurel location is part of the management team. It just made the experience that much more disappointing. I would encourage them to do better.
I made at exchange at this location. I walked in the store and stood in line for about eight minutes. I noticed the cashier glance at me a few times, but I just felt that was her way of acknowledging that I was waiting. In the middle of her conversation in Spanish with the customer ahead of me, she yells in English, “The line is over there!” I had noticed the other line on the opposite side of the counter when I entered the store, but since there was only one person in each line being serviced by the cashier in front of them, and there was no sign stating where a main line began…I felt the way that she yelled at me like that as if I was annoying her by standing in line was very unprofessional. The manager was there and after about 10 mins in the other line, she opened up a third register to help me. I will never shop at this location again. I may go back just to get the cashier’s name and make a complaint to corporate.
Nice large store(shared with osh kosh) well organized and friendly patient staff
Beautiful children wears. They cloth children right and at reasonable prices.
Little space but quality products
